Astara Technologies provides consultancy, design and project management services on renewable energy and low emission technologies and systems.

A significant amount of research and development has been undertaken by the company on drive, control and charging systems for electric vehicles. Astara Technologies specialise in energy storage, management and support systems for two wheeled electric transportation.

Astara’s sister company Motive Force builds electric motorcycles (road and track) and electric vehicle management systems. The motorcycles are used to comprehensively test the products conceived by Astara in real world scenarios and the knowledge gained is fed back into product development. Astra Technologies Vehicle Management and Support System includes a battery management system that provides real time cell monitoring, charge and discharge control, and concise user information display. The system can be tailored to suit two wheeled and smaller 4 wheeled vehicles.
