Critchlow

Critchlow is one of New Zealand’s leading providers of location intelligence and geospatial services. They offer data, location intelligence software, and specialist expertise to help organisations leverage their data to gain insights that are difficult to see using traditional analysis.

Critchlow has been at the cutting edge of the geospatial industry since the company was founded in 1991. They introduced MapInfo Professional, one of the earliest desktop GIS tools, to the New Zealand market and created the country’s first address coded digital map, as well as offering New Zealand’s first geocoding service. Now, we offer a comprehensive array of applications and customised solutions to more than 1,000 customers in New Zealand, Australia and the South Pacific.

Critchlow’s solutions range from desktop Geographic Information Systems (GIS) applications to customised solutions that solve specific client problems. The sorts of problems they help solve are:

  • Optimising routes to maximise fleet utilisation and reduce costs
  • Finding the optimal locations for branches, product or service outlets and distribution points
  • Analysing market demographics to find and target potential clients more effectively
  • Analysing data to detect patterns of fraud and crime
  • Efficiently manage and maintain assets and networks
  • Data aggregation and conflation

Critchlow work with public sector organisations including healthcare and education providers, government departments responsible for roading infrastructure and many of New Zealand’s local and regional authorities.

They also work with some of the country’s largest companies including those in the telecommunications sector, utilities, retail and financial services.
