Since WelTec was established in Petone over a century ago, it has worked hand-in-hand with industry and developed a unique store of expertise, backed up by sophisticated equipment and workshops, in areas as diverse as digital media, business skills, counselling, engineering literacy and numeracy, hospitality, automotive and information technology.

• WelTech’s Centre for Smart Product provides specialist product research and development services, including technical advice, engineering design, prototyping, and engine performance and emissions testing. Weltech are one of only six organisations in New Zealand accredited by the Ministry of Science and Innovation as an R&D provider to their Technology Transfer Voucher Scheme.
• Weltech’s Centre for Smart Business offers a range of services to help your business operate more efficiently, including staff training, process efficiency, online testing, project advice, event venues and other business-related services. They are an accredited provider to New Zealand Trade and Enterprise’s Capability Development Voucher scheme.
• Weltech can also provide advice on government funding support and help with applications.
